I am passionate about people. I have seen good people in many walks of life struggling on their own, as they focus on their job at hand, with no one in their corner helping them to care for themselves.
I have been around for long enough to see good people living lives that are less than what they had hoped for. Sometimes it may be through no fault of their own, sometimes it may be due to their own choices.
I have observed good people in helping professions become overwhelmed as they bear witness to suffering and never consider for one moment that they themselves might need help to manage. I have also seen their loved ones carry a heavy load.
I have seen good people: couples and families trying to get by as best they can, with the skills they have, yet remain stuck.
I believe that in each instance these good people could have benefited greatly with the help of counselling. This is why Embark Counselling was created.
